The Ontario Junior Hockey League has postponed the next two games for the Trenton Golden Hawks.
The homes games were scheduled tonight against the Toronto Junior Canadians, and Friday against the Mississauga Chargers.
The league said that the change has been made after a staff member with Trenton has tested positive for COVID-19.
Hastings Prince Edward Public Health did not officially direct the league to halt the games, but according to the league in a statement, they recommended it.
The OJHL added that players and staff continue to be monitored and are working on getting two rapid tests.
“To date there have been no symptoms or positive rapid test reported within the team,” noted staff.
Trenton’s last game before the holiday break is scheduled to take place on Sunday.
