Leeroy Stagger is back with his sophomore album, which was released last Friday, along with a book. The singer-songwriter and producer was born in Victoria, British Columbia. He started listening to country music in his grandparent’s home, where he was staying for most of his youth, before playing in a punk rock band at 18. Now with a 17-year career in music, you may have heard his song “Just In Case,” which was featured in Grey’s Anatomy. He is now a father and based in Lethbridge.
According to Americana UK, his new album was mixed by Ryan Freeland. The Grammy award-winner has worked with artists like Bonnie Raitt and Ray LaMontagne. Then co-producing with Stagger on some of the tracks was Brad Barr from The Barr Brothers.
Playing along with Stagger on this one is his longtime collaborate Tyson Maiko, along with drummer Pete Thomas, Michael Ayotte, and Ryland Moranz.
The band will be back on the road kicking off a string of west coast dates on October 13, before heading to Sweden, UK, and the Netherlands until the end of November.
