The City of Belleville is gearing up for Remembrance Day on November 11th. Unfortunately, there will be no parade again this year. The ceremony will be at the cenotaph at 10:30 a.m. Receptions will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 99 at 132 Pinnacle Street and at the Duke of Edinburgh Unit 201 of the Army, Navy & Air Force Veterans in Canada at 187 Front Street after the service. Remembrance day is a day to celebrate and to morn those who have faught for our country and have lost their lives for us to gain the beauty we have in our country today.
On November 11th The Veteran Farmer is hosting a drop in Cannabis friendly community event. This Remembrance Day event starts at noon and will run until 3:00 p.m. The event will feature a community potluck and hot dogs for the kids as well. Activities include colouring for the kids and darts for adults Veterans are encouraged to wear their uniform, for those comfortable doing so. The Veteran Farmer is located at 644 Dundas St. E, just across the railway tracks off Dundas St. East.
Loyalist College is preparing to celebrate Remembrance Day. The college will be hosting their ceremony on Monday, November 11th at 10:30 a.m. in Alumni Hall. The ceremony is will be in recognition of those who faught to defend our freedom, and their families.
