When was the last time you gave a hug to someone outside someone you live with? A Montreal man took his desire to give his parents a hug and turned in into some ingenuity that resulted in what he calls a “Hugging Station”. It’s not overly complicated…a wooden frame with a thick plastic stretched over it and two plastic sleeves with heavy-duty gloves attached with silicone. Alex Montagano says he’s in the asbestos-removal business, so had most of the gear on hand anyway. Alex inserts his arms into the plastic sleeves and the person to be hugged stands on the other side to get embraced. It’s kind of a one-way hug…but still a nice idea. Afterwards, the contraption is disinfected, ready for the next hug recipient.
