Cobourg has provided an update about their transit service, as Ontario’s stay-at-home order continues to be in place.
The town has announced that they will be reducing transit hours as of Tuesday, January 26. The new hours will be in place until the province lifts the state of emergency and stay-at-home orders.
Both of which are being done to try to reduce the number of COVID-19 cases.
Here are the new hours that will be in place:
Conventional Transit Hours (Route 1 and Route 2) will continue to operate during the following hours:
- Monday to Friday: 7:15 a.m. to 5:45 p.m.
- Saturday: 8:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
- Sunday: No Service
WHEELS Transit Hours:
- Monday to Friday – 6:15 a.m. to 5:45 p.m.
- Saturday – 8:15 a.m. to 6:45 p.m.
- Sunday – 8:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
COVID-19 Safety Protocol Reminder
Transit riders are reminded that non-medical masks or face coverings are mandatory on all buses and at transit shelters to reduce the risk of spread of COVID-19. All riders are also reminded that the use of public transit should be used for essential trip purposes only.
The town continues to remind the community to only go out for essential trips during the stay-at-home order.
