
There are more open signs lit up across Quinte West and Belleville today, as the region is now in the green zone under the COVID-19 Response Framework.
The Duncan McDonald Memorial Community Gardens and D. McMullen Recreation Centre will be opening back up for skaters again.
The municipality has issued a few updates about those who wish to rent the ice:
- Provide a Covid-19 Safety Plan before using pad one and have it posted on-site during
the activity. - There will be a maximum of 50 people in the arena (participants, coaches, spectators, etc.) with 10 people maximum in dressing rooms and 22 people maximum on the ice surface.
- Renters must submit a list of participants before going on the ice.
- One parent or guardian per child under the age of 18.
- COVID-19 screening must take place for everyone entering the arena.
- Users must sanitize before entering the arena.
- No food or beverages inside the arena until further notice.
- Access to the arena will be permitted no more than 15 minutes before your booking time, and the facility must be vacated 15 minutes after the rental time finishes.
- The pro shop and concessions will remain closed.
Users will only have access to designated rented areas outlined in the rental agreement. Physical distancing will be enforced, with contact limited whenever possible. Face and mouth coverings are mandatory at all times including on the ice surface.
