Communities across the region today are reporting a number of new COVID-19 cases.
Hastings Prince Edward Public Health is reporting four new cases of the virus today. Three of the new cases are in the Tyendinaga and Deseronto area while the other is in Belleville. Three of the cases announced today have been identified as close contacts.
That brings the region to a total of 14 active cases. There are no hospitalizations or outbreaks.
The Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte say that one person has tested positive for COVID-19. The community does not believe it is connected to the Mohawk Bus Line which has been halted due to another positive case. The Quinte Mohawk School has decided to move all classes online for students until March 22.
Hastings, Prince Edward District School Board has announced that one student, each at Deseronto Public School and Prince Charles Public School have tested positive. The schools remain open.
Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington Public Health is reporting four new cases today, for a total of 16 active cases.
Outside of the green zone, the Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit is reporting three new cases of COVID-19 in Northumberland County. There are now a total of 20 active cases in the county.
