
Hotel Quinte was a landmark in the Belleville community for centuries, once known has The Dafoe House in 1847, it was sold in 1887 and was renamed Hotel Quinte. During the Christmas season 2012 the hotel burned down for the third time in its life and the damage was to costly and the hotel was demolished during the summer of 2013.
For a while the property on the corner of Pinnacle and Bridge Street was just an empty lot, mostly used for parking construction equipment and having an extra parking lot. the space is currently owned by FairTradeWorks and the company was planning to construct a 6 story apartment called The Pinnacle.
The project was cancelled in September 2020 due to low pre sales and the on going COVID-19 Pandemic were the two major problems, FairTradeWorks President Jim Perkins Announced the company was “going back to the drawing board” and isn’t giving up the property.
