Belleville residents will be seeing a small increase on their tax bill this year.
Council approved the city’s operating budget this week that will have urban residents paying 1.4% more in taxes, and rural residents chipping in an additional 0.29%.
The overall operating budget for the city this year is coming in at a total of $181.5 million. That is a 4% increase from 2020.
