It’s the first week of some real spring weather in the Quinte region, and many are out and about getting some yard work done.
Prince Edward County has issued a reminder to residents that if you are planning to dig into a new project, make sure you call first.
Whether it’s a new fence, patio or even a garden, staff say it is against the law to dig without a locate.
Residents are encouraged to contact Ontario One Call just so they can make sure you’re not going to bump into any utility or gas lines.
Locates are free and easy to book through Ontario One Call. Residents can request a locate online at www.ontarioonecall.ca or by calling the Ontario One Call 24/7 contact centre at 1.800.400.2255.
