A dog park in Prince Edward County is being closed due to a respiratory illness spreading amongst dogs.
The Prince Edward Dog Park at Dehli Park is closed by order of the municipality, at the recommendation of the Picton Animal Hospital. The Park is expected to be closed for at least 14 weeks.
The illness can cause your dog to start coughing, but most will recover. Dogs could also develop a runny nose or eyes, lose their appetite and develop pneumonia from the illness in some cases.
