Belleville Downtown District looking for new executive director

Belleville Downtown District has announced that their executive director Marijo Cuerrier will be moving on in June.

She will be the new executive director of Kingston’s BIA.

“Taking on a new project was a difficult decision both personally and professionally.” says Cuerrier. “There are so many exciting things coming for Downtown Belleville that I was hoping to be a part of. That said, I am confident that the next ED will be fully capable of continuing to drive the vision forward,” she said in a statement.

The perception of Downtown Belleville has really changed under the leadership of Cuerrier and Kelsey Moniz, the media and marketing officer.

A four-year strategic plan was introduced in 2019, and since then the two, along with the board and city partners, have positively changed the overall perception of the area.
