Tweed Oil Kings become the newest member of the Eastern Ontario Super Hockey League

The General Manager of Tweed’s new hockey team has officially revealed what they will be called.

John Desjardins announced this week that the newest team in the Eastern Ontario Super Hockey League will be known as the Tweed Oil Kings.

The name pays tribute to the Tweed BP Oil Kings. That team won the All Ontario Intermediate C Championship in 1976.
