A new family physician will be returning back home to the Quinte region.
Docs By The Bay Physician Recruitment and Retention team has announced that Dr. Rebecca Bremner will be opening up a practise in the City of Quinte West.
She was born in Belleville but grew up in Thomasburgh.
Dr. Bremner has travelled all over throughout her post-secondary career. Docs By The Bay says that she earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Ontario Tech University. She then got her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of
Medicine and Health Sciences in St. Kitts, West Indies. She has just completed a rural family medicine residency as apart of her work at Louisiana State University.
She is the eleventh family doctor that has been recruited by the team since 2017.
More information will be released a little later about where she will be setting up her office in Quinte West. She will be finding patients through Health Care Connect. Residents who do not have a family doctor, must register on that Health Care Connect list.
