Drivers on the 401 eastbound, east of Belleville should expect a slower commute than usual tonight.
A transport truck went in to a ditch on the 401 eastbound early this morning, crashing in to a swampy area where it has remained all day. No one was injured, and one person was charged with careless driving. OPP are advising the public that 401 eastbound will be reduced to one lane tonight as they remove it.
The closure will begin at 7pm between Deseronto Road and Centre Street in Nappanee, and will take between 6 and 8 hours for the truck to be removed.
