A number of parks across Belleville will be getting some upgrades, as apart of a $1 million dollar investment from the federal and provincial governments.
The funding was announced earlier this year as apart of the COVID-19 Resilience Infrastructure Stream of the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program.
The City has announced this week, that they have about six projects on the go that should be completed by the end of the area.
The sites under construction include the new Thurlow Dog Park, which will be on the corner of Farnham Road and Maitland Drive.
Cascade Park, Haig Park and Stanley Parklette will be receiving new playgrounds next month.
Upgrades are also coming to the Clarence Bird Park, where there will be work done on a recreational trail. Mary Ann Sills Park off of Palmer Road, will be receiving some more lights, concrete bleacher pads, and fencing.
