A COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at Harry J Clarke School in Belleville.
Hastings Prince Edward District School Board announced yesterday, that four students have tested positive.
Health officials add that at least two cases may have been acquired in the school setting. Hastings Prince Edward Public Health will be contacting students if they are close-contacts.
The elementary school remains open. The news comes as an outbreak was declared last week at Queen Elizabeth School in Belleville.
Hastings Prince Edward District School Board tweeted over the weekend, that positive COVID-19 cases have been found in students at Eastside Secondary, C.M.L Snider, and Rednersville School.
Ontario’s top doctor will be holding a news conference this morning at 9:30 am about Omicron, a new variant of concern.
