Loyalist College is looking to learn more about how to best support students connected to the Canadian Armed Forces.
The College has announced in a statement today, that they are launching an online survey for students as a first step.
“With close proximity to the Canadian Forces Base in Trenton, our community is enriched by the significant population of service members and their families. Whether they are actively serving, Veterans, or their family members, we recognize the unique set of skills and needs military-connected students have that inform their learning experiences,” said Dr. Ann Marie Vaughan, Loyalist College President and CEO.
She noted that Loyalist wants to become a “Military-Connected Campus.”
The survey will help guide the process to determine what the needs are of those in the military community, whether they are veterans or are apart of a military family.
The College is also encouraging students to apply to become a student representative as a part of the initiative.
Those who participate in a focus group will receive a gift card to the campus bookstore.
A link to the survey is now posted.
