Population grows in Belleville and surrounding area.

A recent study done by Statistic Canada shows the population growth figures from 2021.

In this study it was shown that the Quinte Region is growing at a faster pace than Ontario or Canada itself.

The Belleville Census Metropolitan Area ( or CMA), which consists of  Belleville, Quinte West, Tyendinaga/Deseronto, and Stirling-Rawdon, grew 7.5% from 2016 to 2021. The population grew from 103,401 in 2016 to 111,184 in 2021.

Ontario’s population was up 5.8% while Canada’s was up 5.2%
