Ontario’s top doctor has provided an update about the status of COVID-19 in the province as restrictions continue to ease.
Dr. Kieran Moore announced today, that Ontario will start to resume surgeries and procedures that were considered not urgent while the province was in a circuit-breaker lockdown.
The province added that they will gradually resume things with a phased approach.
Starting today, students in schools are also able to participate in extra curricular activities. Gym class and band practise will be able to start back up with public health measures in place.
Moore said that Ontario is moving in this direction thanks to the decline in COVID-19 hospitalizations.
