91X has teamed up with Volunteer Information Quinte to share all the volunteer opportunities in Hastings and Prince Edward counties.

Here is how you can help this week:
- Gleaners Food Bank are currently recruiting volunteers to assist with sorting and re-packaging food items, weighing incoming donations and logging weights. Various shifts available.
Tuesdays thru Fridays between 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- The National Air Force Museum of Canada is looking for volunteers to host, greet and introduce visitors to the museum. They need people to walk the museum and exhibit space, interact with the visitors, provide direction, answer exhibit related questions, ensure visitors follow basic museum rules. Knowledge of/interest in aviation history and/or science and technology.
- Prince Edward Learning Centre is currently seeking volunteers to assist with the Good Food Market duties include setting up for weekly market, organizing produce, greeting shoppers, and clean up after weekly market. Other positions required include Covid screening, personal shoppers, and delivery drivers.
- Prince Edward Learning Centre is seeking volunteers for their income tax program. Duties include filing basic income taxes. Volunteers are provided 5 to 10 hours of training in February. Volunteer shifts are 3 hours per week from March to June.
- Canadian Cancer Society is seeking volunteer drivers in the Madoc, Tweed and Marmora area. Volunteers Pick up clients from their homes and drive them to and from cancer-related.
- Multiple agencies require volunteers to assist at bingos held at the Lions Hall in Belleville. Bingos are held daily with matinee and evening programs, typical shift is 3 hours. All funds raised support programing in agencies throughout community.
- Community Care Central Hastings is currently seeking a office volunteer in their Tweed location. Duties include answering phones, directing calls, computer work and general office duties. Time commitment is flexible. Training is provided in both office and reception duties.
- Trenton MFRC is seeking volunteers to help military families with snow removal. Having your own equipment is not required but could be useful.
- Salvation Army Belleville is currently seeking volunteers to assist with the daily food program. Volunteer positions include cooking and preparing of meals. Shifts begins at 1 p.m. Packing and distribution of meals shifts begins at 3 p.m. Program runs 7 days a week. Training and support provided in all positions.
- Belleville Quinte West Community Health Centre is a community-based primary health organization that provides a wide range of programs and services to improve the health and well-being of people who live in the community. The Centre has a Site in Quinte West and one in Belleville. They are looking for individuals who have an idea for an activity and are interested in gifting their time to provide programs in nutrition, physical activity or social well-being.
- Central Hastings Support Network is currently seeking volunteers to drive clients to appointments. Locations can be both local or long distance including Kingston or Toronto. Drivers use their own vehicles and receive re-imbursement through a pre determined fee.
- Community Care Prince Edward County is seeking Reception volunteers for the office in Picton and for foot care clinic in Wellington. Computer experience is required. Training and orientation and support is provided. They also require Thrift Shop volunteers for their Picton store. This is a very social volunteer placement that appeals to both men and women. Online orientation is offered and mentoring with a long-time volunteer once in the shop. Time commitment is a 3-hour shift per week.
