Foo Fighters’ drummer Taylor Hawkins dies

Taylor Hawkins, the long-time drummer for Foo Fighters has died, the band announced late Friday night. “The Foo Fighters family is devastated by the tragic and untimely loss of our beloved Taylor Hawkins. His musical spirit and infectious laughter will live on with all of us forever”, was the statement posted on Twitter last night. No cause of death has been released for the 50 year old Taylor. The Foo Fighters are currently on a tour of South American and were to perform at a festival in Bogota, Colombia when his death was announced. Taylor had been drummer with the group for 25 of its 28 years of existence. Bandmate Dave Grohl once described Taylor as his best friend and partner in crime. More here.
