Problems continue for the Easter bunny.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is now expanding its Kinder chocolate recall. The announcement was first made last week. The trouble is coming from a salmonella outbreak in Europe.
Here in Canada, Kinder chocolates are sold by Ferrero Canada. There is concern that these products could be contaminated.
The first round of recalls impacted items including Kinder Surprise, Kinder Surprise Miraculous, Kinder Mini Eggs, and Kinder Egg Hunt Kids. The best-before-dates are listed between June 19 to November 29.
The second round of recalls announced this week, is now impacting chocolates like Kinder Advent Calendars, Kinder Surprise Trolls, Kinder Surprise Frozen, Kinder Surprise The Smurfs. The best-before dates range from March 2 to November 29.
Here in Canada, there have been no reports of illness.
Families are encouraged to throw the products out or return them to the store.
