The Quinte region is currently experiencing the first big heat wave of the summer!
It’s going to feel like 34 Celsius later on this afternoon here in Belleville.
The City continues to encourage everyone to be cautious and take advantage of cooling centres and splash pads.
Here’s where you can find air conditioning:
- Quinte Sports & Wellness Centre between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
- Belleville Public Library: Monday to Thursday: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday to Saturday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday: 1 to 5 p.m.
- Quinte Mall: Monday to Friday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Splash pads are also running and are free. These sites are open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
- West Riverside Splash Pad – 344 Moira St. East
- Selma Bochnek Splash Pad (Parkdale) – 119 Birch St.
- Kinsmen Splash Pad – 151 Dundas St. East
