91X has teamed up with Volunteer Information Quinte to share all the volunteer opportunities in Hastings and Prince Edward counties.

Here is how you can help this week:
- The Empire Theatre and City of Quinte West are gearing up for their Big Summer Concert on Saturday, July 2th. It will feature the Dwayne Gretzky band. The Toronto group performs classic pop and rock. Volunteers are needed to scan tickets, check identification and wristbands, and be ushers. Smart Serve volunteers are also needed to sell drinks and work in the bar area. Contact the Empire Theatre for more details.
- Volunteers are also needed at Rockfest when it returns to Belleville July 14, 15, and 16th. Volunteers will work the gates to check IDs, provide directions, and oversee the centre stage area and grounds. Smart Serve volunteers are also needed to sell drink tickets and work in the bar area.
- If you’re a history buff, the Museums of Prince Edward County need volunteers at their five locations: MacAulay House, the Ameliasburgh Heritage Village, Wellington Heritage Museum, Mariner’s Park Museum, and the Rose House Museum. Volunteer options include tending the front desk and hosting events. Some volunteers will be required to dress in period costumes provided by the museum.
- Quinte Validity and Social Support is a non-profit agency that offer day programs to adults with developmental disabilities. It is seeking energetic, community-minded individuals to join its board of directors. Applicants will be invited to attend a board meeting for an interview.
- The Victorian Order of Nurses is looking for volunteers to offer social support and interaction with isolated individuals in their homes. Orientation and training will be provided.
- The John Howard Society needs volunteers to assist in its Charity Café at the Belleville Courthouse. If you’ve got barista skills, morning and afternoon shifts are available. All funds raise support local youth employment programs.
- YouthHab Quinte is a non-profit agency that helps young people obtain and maintain safe and affordable housing, good mental health, and employment. It is seeking community members for its Board of Directors. The Board meets nine times a year and offers guidance and direction to the agency.
- The Community Care Prince Edward County Association needs volunteers drivers to take folks to medical appointments and for essential shopping. Drivers will be paid by the clients based on a fee schedule. Clients also will pay any parking fees during the trip. Orientation and support will be provided by a staff member.
- Community Development Council of Quinte is looking for volunteers at the Lion’s Bingo Hall in Belleville. Volunteers work in teams in four-hour shifts and typically to do four and five shifts per month. Orientation and on-going support is provided by a staff member.
