The rising cost of food, gasoline, and everything else it seems continues to really impact families.
Last week, Food Banks Canada issued results of their recent telephone survey. They talked to 4,000 people over three months ago. Food Banks Canada said that about a quarter of them believed they were eating less because they did not have enough money.
Following our conversation with Susanne Quinlan at Gleaners Food Bank, we had a chance to talk to Ruth Ingersoll from the Community Development Council of Quinte. She explained to us what CDC Quinte is seeing locally and the price jump at grocery stores between Belleville and more rural places.
