The Belleville Senators have released an update for fans today, following news on Monday that the City will be hosting an NHL exhibition game.
Belleville Mayor Mitch Panciuk made the announcement during a council meeting.
The game will feature the Ottawa Senators and the Toronto Maple Leafs. The exhibition game will take place at the CAA arena on Friday, September 30. The Belleville Senators, Ottawa’s farm team, add that a game-time has not been decided.
Belleville Senators season ticket holders will have the first chance to get tickets, then it will move on to those with the Belleville Senators flex pack. The Senators say that ticket prices have not been decided. Tickets will be made available to the public. Pricing has not been decided but they may be around the prices for Belleville Senators games.
“We’re elated to be able to host the National Hockey League in Belleville, as we welcome our parent club and one of their fiercest rivals to CAA Arena. This game is a great way for hockey fans in the Bay of Quinte Region to get set for the new season, to see some of their favourite former Belleville Sens players, who developed here in the Friendly City, before becoming everyday players in the NHL,” said Breanne Matthews, Belleville Senators vice-president, in a statement released by the team.
The Belleville Senators will be releasing more details later this summer.
