One man was sent to Belleville General Hospital this morning with gunshot wounds.
Belleville Police responded to reports of a shooting outside an establishment on North Front Street at around 2 a.m. Emergency crews arrived to find the victim and transported him to hospital.
Police have announced in a statement, that they are still looking for the gunman. There is no risk to public safety.
Belleville Police will continue to be around the scene near the Northway Restaurant as the investigation continues. Anyone with information is asked to contact Belleville Police Detective Kellar at 613-966-0882 ext. 4128.
