91X has teamed up with Volunteer Information Quinte to share all the volunteer opportunities in Hastings and Prince Edward counties.

Here is how you can help this week:
- VON Community Care Quinte West is looking for volunteer drivers to help transport clients to appointments both locally and long distance. Volunteers must have their own vehicle and will be reimbursed. The team is also looking for helpers to assist with their Meals on Wheels program in the Trenton area. Meals are delivered Monday to Friday from 11:30 to 1:00 pm.
- Central Hastings Support Network requires volunteer drivers to help take clients to appointments. Trips can be both local or as far as Kingston or Toronto. Drivers use their own vehicles and are reimbursed a pre-determined fee.
- Quinte Immigration Services is looking for volunteers with its Ukraine Assistance Group They need people who can speak fluent Ukrainian, Polish and/or Russian to translate and assist newcomers to our region.
- Prince Edward Community Care needs help at its Thrift Shop on Main Street in Picton. Training and orientation will be provided on site. Pandemic safety protocols are in place. Positions include working at the cash desk and sorting and pricing items. Shifts are typically three hours per week – either in the mornings or afternoon Monday to Friday, or on Saturday.
- CDC Quinte is looking for help with its Good Food Bag Program. The council needs drivers, packers, and individuals to coordinate pick-up over the phone. There may be some heavy lifting involved. Training will be provided.
- Community Care for Senior Prince Edward County is looking for volunteers for its Meals on Wheels program. Volunteers will deliver hot meals to clients’ doorsteps weekdays. A flexible shift is available. You must have your own vehicle.
- The Regent Theatre in Picton is looking for people to help around the theatre with odd jobs. If you’re interested in getting involved but aren’t quite sure what you want to be doing for us, this is the place to apply!
- Volunteer Information Quinte is currently seeking individuals interested in volunteering at Charity Bingos. Duties include calling back Bingos, assisting with payouts and monitoring games. Both Matinee and Main Bingo time slots are available. If you are 16 years of age or older and are interested in supporting Charity organizations, please contact the team. All safety protocols are strictly followed.
- Community Care Central Hastings is seeking volunteers to deliver meals to seniors in their homes weekdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Volunteers must have their own vehicle, time commitment can be weekly, bi weekly or monthly
- Bancroft Community Transit is looking for volunteer drivers to transport people in the Hastings & Prince Edward County area. Trips would be for medical appointments and important errands like to the grocery store or band. Travel would be to places like Belleville, Kingston, Toronto or Ottawa. Mileage will be reimbursed.
- Community Living Belleville and Area is seeking volunteers interested in joining their Board of Directors. Meetings are held monthly the fourth Thursday at 11am with the option of participating through Zoom nine times per year. Fields of service include education, building and construction, finance, legal, real estate and risk management.
Volunteer Information Quinte refers volunteers to more than 275 agencies throughout Hastings and Prince Edward counties.
