The sun is shining here in Belleville, and we have some good news to share about the road conditions.
The OPP have announced that Highway 401 is back open in both directions from the GTA to the Quebec border. Those who venture out are encouraged to be very cautious.
Quinte West has re-opened Wooler Road from Highway 2 to Telephone Road. County Road 40 is open, but Experimental Road, Hendricks Road and Adams Road remain closed. Experimental Road is closed from Dobson Road to Goodwill Road.
There are a number of reports from drivers that Highway 62 is not good to drive on.
Over in Napanee, County 8 remains an issue and no vehicles are able to get down the road. Drivers are being asked to stay away as crews continue to work to clear the snow out.
All roads in Prince Edward County remain closed. The County has requested assistance from other local municipalities. There are several reports that snow drifts in some cases have exceeded 10 feet in spots.
