91X has teamed up with Volunteer Information Quinte to share all the volunteer opportunities in Hastings and Prince Edward counties.

Here is how you can help this week:
- The Indigenous Interprofessional Primary Care team is looking for Board Members. The Board welcomes people with a variety of skills and experience. Previous board experience is an asset, but not required. The commitment will be to attend monthly meetings for 10 months of the year. The term would be for two years.
- Prince Edward Learning Centre is looking for helpers for their Good Food Market. Duties include setting up for weekly market, organizing produce, greeting shoppers, and clean up. Other positions required include COVID screening, personal shoppers, and delivery drivers. Volunteers are also require to assist the Prince Edward Learning Centre with there Adult tutoring program.
- Belleville General Hospital and Trenton Memorial Hospital Auxiliary are looking for volunteers to help out. People are need at the information desks,Emergency departments, Mammography clinics, Day Surgery units and Recreation Therapy clinics. Orientation and training is provided.
- The Alzheimer Society of Hastings Prince Edward is launching a in-Home Activation program. Volunteers are needed across the region including in Brighton. Volunteers will receive training in dementia care and learn more about different activities geared toward clients. The program runs for 12 weeks. The time commitment can be as little as one weekly visit, which is around an hour and a half.
- If you’re a home cook who’d like to put your skills to work… Catherine’s Kitchen needs helpers for its community lunch program. Volunteers assist in food preparation, serving, and clean-up. Shifts are from 8:45 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Monday to Thursday. Catherine’s Kitchen is located at 24 Dundas Street West in Trenton.
- The Stirling Musical Instrument Lending Library is looking for a secretary for the board of directors. The secretary would be required to attend and document board meetings, and maintain the books.
- The Community Development Council of Quinte is seeking a volunteer to coordinate its Good Food Box program in Frankford. This person will take orders and cash payments, and organize food box pick-up at the Frankford United Church. This time commitment is about one hour each week and three hours on pick-up days.. which is the fourth Tuesday of every month.
- The Central Hastings Support Network needs drivers to take clients to and from appointments. Locations may be local or long distance including Kingston or Toronto. Drivers must have their own vehicle and will be reimbursed through a pre-determined fee.
- The Habitat For Humanity Re-Store is looking for help at its shop on Bell Boulevard in Belleville. Folks are needed to prepare donated merchandise, create floor displays, customer service, and the load and unload donations.
- Quinte Immigration Services is looking for volunteers with its Ukraine Assistance Group. They need people who speak fluent Ukrainian, Polish, and/or Russian to translate and assist newcomers to our region.
Volunteer Information Quinte refers volunteers to more than 275 agencies throughout Hastings and Prince Edward counties.
