The Trenton Golden Hawks are making a change behind the bench.
The leadership team has announced in a statement, that they are going in a different direction without General Manager and Head Coach Jerome Dupont.
“These types of decisions are very difficult in our business, especially when dealing with good people. Jerome has done a great job for the Golden Hawks over the years, but these changes are a reflection of a change of direction where development of local players will have a greater focus,” said Shawn Hicks, in a statement released last night.
Dupont led the OJHL team to the Buckland Cup Final recently.
Trenton has hired Todd Reid as their Interim General Manager. Reid has front-office experience with the Wellington Dukes and Cobourg Cougars.
Trenton is working on finding a new coach.
