Belleville Police have released a statement about a shooting in the city early this morning.
Officers were called to Ridley Street around 3:20 a.m. with reports of a shooting.
Belleville Police note that they arrived on scene to find that one man was dead. He had been shot. Investigators continue to work towards identifying the victim.
Police note that they believe this is an isolated incident. There is no threat to public safety.
Belleville Police have made no arrests.
