The Japanese Canadian is getting ready to release his new sophomore EP this fall. He picked up the guitar after suffering a wrist injury while on a golf scholarship at the University of Victoria.
“Outgrow symbolizes that moment of hesitation before change. It’s much more than simply outgrowing flimsy relationships. It’s about leaving behind all of our beliefs, habits, and characters that stunt us from growth. Looking back, this song was really my last entry before turning the chapter on my own innocent, but sometimes careless, youthful ways,” said Garrett Neiles, in a statement.
