Downtown Blues Event to support Gleaners Foodbank
Belleville – On the heels of a very successful inaugural Belleville Downtown Blues Festival, Downtown Blues is producing a pre-Christmas event on November 30 at Sans Souci to provide Gleaners foodbank with much-needed resources to assist children and families in our community during the holiday season.
The Shawn Dore Big Blues Band will be featured at Sans Souci from 6 – 9 p.m. The band was a big hit at the market square during the festival in September and is back to bring their exceptional blues music. There will be a dance floor to enhance enjoyment of the evening and Sans Souci is offering a special tapas bar with delicious, mouth-watering items from salmon to poutine to salads.
Co-founder and producer of Downtown Blues, Carol Feeney states, “Our mission is to provide quality blues music experiences while ensuring that we continue to support families and children in our community by providing financial assistance to Gleaners Foodbank. It’s a Blues for food movement”
Tony Vani, co-founder and Musical Director of Downtown Blues says. “We are keeping the Blues alive in Belleville and supporting local musicians.”
Tickets are $22.50 plus Eventbrite surcharge with $5.00 per ticket donated to Gleaners and can be purchased via Eventbrite.ca
