The local humane society in Quinte will benefit from a new golf tournament this summer.
Rushnell Funeral Home has announced their inaugural Best Ball Tournament. The event will take place at Trillium Wood Golf Course on Friday, June 21st.
Staff say in a statement that all the proceeds will go to the humane society.
“We are so excited to say that this tournament is 90% sold out and have received so much positive response for this event. Our family loves animals, so it was easy to choose the Humane Society as the beneficiary of this tournament,” said Ashley Rushnell, Funeral Director and Event Chair.
The team is currently looking for companies to sponsor a few more holes on the course.
