The Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation has released the following statement.
Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation Launches #ScopeForHope Campaign to Equip Hospital with Advanced Ureteroscopes
Many patients are treated at Trenton Memorial Hospital for conditions like kidney stones and bladder cancer. To support this vital care, the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation is launching its annual Christmas Wish campaign, #ScopeForHope, to raise funds for six additional flexible video ureteroscopes. These advanced tools allow doctors to see inside the urinary tract with precision, enabling them to diagnose and treat conditions such as kidney stones and bladder cancer effectively.
At the cystoscopy clinic at Trenton Memorial Hospital, our dedicated team provides care for an average of 30 patients daily, three days a week, amounting to over 4,000 patients annually. Each flexible video ureteroscope plays a critical role, supporting approximately 200 surgeries, ensuring precise diagnosis and treatment for conditions like kidney stones and bladder cancer.
Your support can make a life-changing difference in our community.
The cost of each ureteroscope is $21,346, bringing the total goal to $128,076. The foundation is urging the community to come together to support this critical initiative.
Due to the ongoing Canada Post strike, the foundation is offering alternative ways to make donations:
