The Trenton Golden Hawks have released the following statement this morning.
This Friday, the Trenton Golden Hawks will be hosting the Toronto Jr Canadiens at the Dunc in their last home game before the holiday break.
When the Hawks organization heard about the funding deficit that Community Partners for Success was facing, they wanted to help, and the upcoming game seemed like a great platform to raise awareness for the agency and help with their fundraising efforts. When asked what their primary need would be other than funding, they noted a need for winter gloves and hot pouches for their clients.
Community Partners for Success were notified by Hasting County that they will not be receiving any funding this year for the resource programming in Quinte West. The Trenton Resource Room is a lifeline for some of our community’s most vulnerable residents providing breakfast and dinner programs; emergency food support, clothing & hygiene assistance; and harm reduction/health services.
The players and organization will be donating mittens and hot pouches for the CPFS campaign, and we are asking fans to bring the same to add to our donation. CPFS will host a raffle and have an information table to educate our fans on their importance to our Quinte West Community.
