Prince Edward County has issued the following update this week
What’s new for County Transit in 2025
County Transit has introduced some changes and enhancements to its services, new for 2025. Introducing the new Rides on Demand app by Trapeze: County Transit has launched Rides on Demand by Trapeze, a new app that will make it easier for residents to access on-demand transit service within the County. The Rides on Demand app connects riders with available seats on specialized buses, (buses serving registered clients with disabilities or 55+).The app can be downloaded onto any Apple and Android devices and eliminates the hassle of riders having to phone dispatch to arrange for a ride. Rides can be arranged through the app up to three days in advance or up to one hour before travel, between Monday – Friday from 6:15 am – 6 pm.This service is available at a fare of $5.00 per ride to County residents who do not hold a County Transit pass. County Transit pass holders do not need to pay the fare. Click here for a list of Rides on Demand’s frequently asked questions.
Riders who do not wish to use the Rides on Demand app can still book seats in advance by contacting Quinte Transit at info@quintetransit.ca or at 613-392-9420 or toll-free at 1-855-283-9640.
County Transit fare reductions: County Transit is excited to announce new fare reductions for its fixed-route bus service that are now in effect. The adult fare for trips to or from Belleville has been reduced to $10 from $11, enhancing affordability and simplifying payment for cash riders.
