Let the City of Quinte West know how you want to vote in the 2026 municipal election
The City of Quinte West is seeking input from the community on preferred voting methods for the next municipal and school board trustee elections, scheduled for October 2026.
The City is considering four voting methods:
- In-person/paper ballot voting;
- Telephone/dial-in voting;
- Online voting, and/or;
- Mail-in voting
From March 3 to 23, Quinte West residents can share their preferred voting method(s):
- Online at quintewestvotes.ca
- By phone at 613-392-2841 by following the prompts on the call answering system
- In person at Quinte West City Hall (7 Creswell Dr., Trenton) or the Frankford Municipal Office (22 N Trent St., Frankford)
- In person at Quinte West FamilyFest on March 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Batawa Community Centre

Feedback received from the community will be presented in a report to Quinte West Council at a Special Council meeting on April 9, 2025. At this meeting, Council will review and select the proposed voting methods for 2026. The community is invited to attend this meeting and provide public input.
Quinte West voters will vote for mayor, ward councillors and school board trustees during the 2026 municipal election. More information on candidate nominations and voter registration will be available starting in late 2025.
