LOYALIST COLLEGE PR AND EVENT MANAGEMENT STUDENTS PARTNER WITH QUINTE CONSERVATION FOR OUTDOOR FUNDRAISER
A team of PR and Event Management students from Loyalist College have partnered with Quinte Conservation (QC) on an outdoor event to raise funds for the organization’s Outdoor Education Programs.
Join us for Nature & Neighbours: Trails, Talks, and Tastes on Saturday, March 15 from 10 am to 12 pm. This community-focused fundraising event aims to bring people closer to nature while supporting environmental conservation. QC’s education staff will lead a guided hike through North Potter’s Creek Conservation Area, during which they will share tips about hiking safely, protecting yourself from ticks and other insect bites, and identifying hazardous plants. They will share information about the area’s unique environmental features as they guide guests through the trails. After the hike, participants are welcome to gather for light refreshments such as cedar leaf tea and apple roasting.
“Our staff are excited to be partnering with Loyalist students on this initiative. This event is for anyone who is looking to learn more about trail safety, gain confidence in hiking in nature, or those who are looking to meet other nature enthusiasts,” says Lindsay Nash, Outreach and Stewardship Coordinator at Quinte Conservation.
Tickets are $5 and registration is required. More information and the link to register is available in the events calendar at quinteconservation.ca/events.
