The Trenton Military Family Resource Centre has issued the following statement this week.
Excitement Awaits at the Annual Batawa Lions Easter Egg Hunt – A Fun-Filled Day for the Whole Family!
The highly anticipated Annual Batawa Lions Easter Egg Hunt is just around the corner! Scheduled for Saturday, April 19th, this beloved community event promises a day full of excitement, laughter, and joy for children and families alike.
The festivities will begin at 9 a.m. and run until noon at the Batawa Community Centre located at 81 Plant Street. The event is packed with fun activities, including a pancake breakfast, a petting zoo, face painting, a balloon artist, and the chance to see a fire truck and police car up close.
Of course, the highlight of the day will be the Easter Egg Hunt, which will be split into two age groups:
● Infants to five-year-olds will start their hunt at 10 a.m.
● Children aged six to twelve will start at 11:15 a.m.
With enough chocolate eggs for 700 kids, participants are encouraged to arrive early and register to ensure they don’t miss out. Supplies are limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
For families looking to fuel up before the hunt, a delicious pancake breakfast will be served. The cost is $8 for kids, $10 for adults, and $30 for a family of four. The $5 charge for the Easter Egg Hunt will be waived when a child’s breakfast is purchased.
All other activities are open to everyone while supplies last.
This year’s event is made possible by the collaborative efforts of the Batawa Development Corporation, the Batawa Lions Club, and the Trenton Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC).
Families are invited to join in the fun and celebrate the Easter season at this cherished community event. Don’t miss out on the chance to create lasting memories with your loved ones!
