Spring into Treasure scavenger hunt in downtown Belleville

The Belleville Downtown BIA has released the following statement.

Adventure Awaits: Spring into Treasure returns to Downtown Belleville 

Get ready for an afternoon of adventure as Spring into Treasure returns to Downtown Belleville on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.  Families, friends, and young explorers are invited to take part in this exciting treasure hunt through the historic streets, shops, and restaurants of Downtown Belleville.

There are 19 Downtown businesses participating in the scavenger hunt. To begin the journey, participants can visit the Downtown BIA booth outside the Belleville Public Library starting at noon to collect their bingo cards.

From there, the hunt is on! Stickers will be hidden in participating businesses, and players must match the images to their Bingo card while collecting stamps from each location.

Once their Bingo card is complete, participants can return to the BIA booth to claim a loot bag (while supplies last) and enjoy free face painting and balloon art. Every completed Bingo card is also entered into an exciting raffle at 3 p.m., featuring incredible prizes such as Belleville Senators tickets, Empire Theatre show tickets, and Belleville Theatre Guild’s Cinderella tickets.

A few businesses are also putting on fun activities for participants:

• The Kafana: Special treats for sale such as fresh-baked soft pretzels, popcorn with their signature cheesy dill seasoning, and chocolate chunk cookies.

• Cracked Glass Design: Hop in between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. to create a little garden bunny for your plant or garden. For $25 per piece, learn a bit about fusing and the wonderful world of glass (for ages 4+) Your unique bunny will be ready for pickup on Tuesday, April 15.

• The Smokin’ 116: Lunch with the Easter Bunny from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Take your photo with the Easter Bunny and receive a goody bag.

• The Shatter House: Local Art for sale on the sidewalk

• Flowers by Dustin: Free interactive chalk activity for kids to enjoy with photo capture moments. (Weather permitting)

• Chumleigh’s: In-store sales

• Be Prepared: Giant Connect-4 Game, located at the library.

This free event is the perfect way for families to explore Downtown Belleville’s unique businesses while enjoying a day of discovery and fun. A map of participating locations is available on the Downtown Belleville website and can also be found on the Bingo cards.
