Stories about local paramedics needed ahead of Paramedic Services Week

The union representing local paramedics in the Quinte region is looking for stories from the community.

CUPE Local 1842, the union representing paramedics working for Hastings-Quinte Paramedic Services, is asking the public to submit stories about their interactions with paramedics.

The deadline to e-mail stories to the union is tomorrow. Messages can be sent to 1842prteam@gmail.com.

CUPE Local 1842 notes in a statement, that the positive stories will be shared during Paramedic Services Week, which runs from May 18th to May 25th.

The notice comes as collective bargaining continues between CUPE Local 1842 and Hastings-Quinte Paramedic Services/Hastings County.

Both sides issued statements last week regarding recent staff shortages.
