The Ontario SPCA is encourage people to adopt an animal in need of a forever home.
A dozen Ontario SPCA branches including the centre in Napanee will be hosting an adoption event this week.
Adoptions fees will drop 20% for animals who have been in care for an extended period of time. Staff note that all animals that go through the Ontario SPCA are vaccinated, microchipped, spayed or neutered, and sent home with food, when they leave with their new family.
