The Quinte region continues to be under a heat warning this week, as humidex values hit the 40 plus mark.
Local municipalities are encouraging people to monitor signs of heat stroke.
Quinte West continues to have the Duncan McDonald Arena open in Trenton as a cooling centre. The site will be open today until Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Arenas in Wellington and Picton are open daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. for people to get out of the heat. Belleville residents can head over to the library and Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre.
Splash pads remain accessible to everyone throughout the community.
