Belleville Police continue to investigate, following a fatal hit and run collision last night.
Emergency crews responded to the collision at 10:48 p.m., along Highway 2, between Mitchell Road and Burns Drive. Belleville Police say in an update, that a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle. The vehicle was not at the scene when emergency crews arrived. The pedestrian, a 36-year-old man from Belleville, was transported to Belleville General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Belleville Police say that glass and debris was scattered on the road at the scene. There is an ongoing investigation,
Belleville Police are looking for dashcam footage from drivers in the area last night between 10:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Police are also looking for information related to a vehicle that has damage to its windshield.
