Final week to register for the local United Way’s Backpacks For Success Program

September can be an expensive time for young families with the rising cost of school supplies.

United Way Hastings & Prince Edward is once again offering a way for families to help stretch their budgets.

This week is the last week for families to register for the Backpacks For Success Program. The deadline is Friday, July 11th. Families with children entering Kindergarten to Grade 12 locally can purchase a backpack for $12 each. The bags are filled with school supplies, lunch bag and water bottle.

Registration can be done online or in-person at the United Way office in Belleville. Families can put names forward until July 11th or while supplies last.
