Loyalist College in Belleville is hosting an outdoor community event tomorrow.
Kristin Maracle joined us this morning. She is the Indigenous Recruitment and Relationship Support Worker at the Tsi Titewaya’taró:roks Indigenous Centre.
The Centre is hosting an Indigenous Summer Celebration. The free community event will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on campus.
The community is invited to take part in lacrosse demonstrations, learn more about the importance of the strawberry and traditional songs. There will also be Mohawk Bingo and food served.
A vendor market will be set up.
Visitors are encouraged to bring a lawn chair along with reusable plates and cutlery.
