Belleville Downtown District BIA continues to offer a variety of events this summer.
Their new spicy food competition will take place tomorrow. Savour The Heat is a spin-off from Savour The Chill, the soup contest.
The spicy food competition will take place in downtown Belleville on Saturday, July 26th. People will be able to purchase a wide variety of spicy food for $3 per cup. The event will run from noon to 3 p.m.
There will be the Judges’ Choice Award and People’s Choice Award again for this event. The judges will be Belleville’s Tourism Sector Specialist Michelle Lochan, food stylist Ruth Gangbar, and business owners Ralph Saint-Dic, and Slim Harris.
People can vote for their favourite dish by visiting the event page, or through the QR codes up at each participating venue. People can also vote in-person at the DBIA’s booth outside Century Village. Those folks who choose to vote that way will be entered into a draw to win one of four $50 gift cards to their favourite downtown business.
